today well very soon.. we are going in to southerlands track to have a play, dirt bike style....:scooter:
we going to explore the old sawmill track at the top by the cattle stop which should come out down past the hut..
after which we be heading up the nasty rock fall track out to the beach and back in to the hut again,, have been told of another side track in there so we better check that out as well..
my weapon of choice today will be a KDX250 :woohoo: which im sure will throw me off at some stage during the day....
a report on the days carnage will be posted more than likely from my hospital bed...

You should measure your arms before & after the ride Joe. Last time I rode a lil 2 stroke I swear my arms were another 2 inches long (cue knuckles dragging on ground jokes:sick:)
I take it it's not pissing down up there?

So whats the story with the bikes now? I can't keep up with what you've bought, selling, wanting, borrowing???
I've been looking at a few DRZs on Tme- If only I had a few more grand I'd get one as a a lil play thing.

Awesome Joe. How many made it without a push (or tow)?
I've still got unfinished business in there, as I haven't been right out to the coast.

Luck is right. Try a fat 650 with road gearing and a worn E-09. :shit:
Oh, and I rode all the way down Cnut also. That was a bit hairy.

Hell Joe that's a rough looking bunch you went riding with - not like us civilised cucumber sandwich advriders.
The guy wearing shorts & no gloves must be invincible. And who guessed the brown eye is still alive in Masterton :gob:
Congrats on conquering the hill.

only safety gear i had on was my mx boots,,open face helmet short sleeve and shorts.....still picking gorse prickles out my hands and arms...
when we go riding this group means business,,, we gave that hill shit, skidded the fuk out of it must have cleared enough rocks to get most of us up...
its a bit hairy down the start of the climb as you going that fast,,just dont want to miss that first bend aye fellas......long way down...
its just keep the front wheel on the ground and try not slip of the seat....just love the sound of that 2 smoker screaming up the gully...
bart coming down wasn't to bad, i be happy to bring the 625 down there..

The 625 would be lightyears ahead suspension wise than a stock dog rooter. :scooter:
Must get back in there in the next few weeks. Now you guys have cleared the track, it should be easy.

yes mark it is a great ride... but still the climb is not for the faint hearted,,
unless the track gets a bulldozer over it, it will never be an easy hill climb.
you have to get the first s bends right and the first short straight has to be nailed under good speed, the rest well you just have to wait and see whats going to happen.
you ether make it or ya dont..
if you can get half way its possible to start on the side of the track and get enough speed up to get to the top....
we might go back in over xmas see what the weather brings..
