That Hornet 3 wheeler would be fun.

Right - the guessing game - what is he getting?

I'm thinking 750 cc plus - must be a suitable traveller.

Maybe he's had his eye on that new GSXR750 'based' naked.

CB1000r Predator's are well priced at $15 - but not much of a rear seat.

Kawasaki Z1000 with the fairing - a nice looking kit that would suit NZ well.

Yammy 800

My money is on the FZ8 or GSR750. A naked in any case.

Maybe however it is all a rouse. Maybe Hitcher has taken up fabric making. After all, he was after 2011 model looms.

If it's a 2011 model, I'ma have to go with the Z1000SX. It seems to tick all the boxes that Hitcher would want (maybe a bit lacking in the pillion area).

It's definitely one I would've wanted myself if the price was a bit lower. :(

I wouldn't bet on that even coming here. BlueWing think the Italian designed bikes are too expensive. Even though they do bring the Hornet in.

If we're guessing Hitchers next bike I'll go with the CB1000R. The Kawasaki and Yamaha 'equivalents' are waaaaay more expensive and of lesser quality.

So it's a definite, Mr Hitcher???
It's having a Leo Vince muffler, Oxford heated grips and a Scottoiler fitted to it as I type. It has a numberplate that starts with A.

At some stage I need to figure out how to get to New Plymouth to uplift it.

Ok - so we can deduce some facts:
1. It has a chain (unless Hitcher is getting carried away and fitting a Scottoiler to a shaft or belt drive bike). A Buell with a Scottoiler would be interesting to see....
2. It is getting a muffler of the singular variety, so probably has a single muffler system now
3. It is registered and probably is a new bike. It is definitely not a car, since only one plate was mentioned (and most cars usually have 2 or 3 number plates. Not sure number plate is a compound word but there you go)
4. It is from New Plymouth. Does that mean a Suzuki dealership?
5. Hitcher does not realise it is summer (or gets very cold hands), hence the reason for the Hot Grips

Indeed. Apparently it has "upgraded" front suspension compared with the model it is derived from. One still suspects, it being Japanese and all, that there's still room for some improvement.

The 43mm-diameter stanchion-tube front forks’
damping performance is tuned to deliver
smooth response over various pavement
conditions likely encountered over the course of
a touring ride. The front forks, and the single
rear shock, both have spring-preload
adjustability, to accommodate riding solo or
carrying a passenger.

Still points to a new FZ8 I reckon. The bike they are "derived" from would be the FZ1 and I could see the un-adjustability of the FZ8 being an upgrade... Hmm, might be wrong in that case, time will tell I guess.

Well I've never seen a blue Concours or Z1000SX, as far as I know neither have adjustable seat heights... So it's either Suzuki or Yamaha and I don't see Hitcher on a Hayabusa. I'm leaning towards a new FJR or an FZ8S! (I don't know if there are blue FJRs either!)

Or maybe even a Super Tenere :P

Candy Indy Blue it is. 19 litres fuel capacity and 1255cc of motive power.

It is a Suzuki GSX1250FA ST, sometimes known in some markets as a GSX1250SA.

It is not a Bandit. As well as the faired front end, the instrumentation, front suspension and radiator (size & number of fans) are all different to its more famous brother.
