Hey guys, girls,
Im going to be bringing along a set of my old leathers to Wanganui and I am going to try get everyone to sign them for me so I can then auction them off.
I am starting a auction for a good friend of myne who is very young and has a very rare form of cancer and I want to do my bit for him I would be really honoured if you guys could help me out by signing the suit and if someone would have a pit space I could borrow for the day, to store the leathers as I am a spectator that day I will put a link up to the auction as soon as I have it done as well,
Thanks alot

Don't take this the wrong way because what you're doing is a great cause and a noble gesture.
But I can't help thinking that it's the sort of thing that someone like Andrew Stroud would love to help with .... why not approach him for a set of his old or even newish leathers and maybe there would be some keen bidding for them and you could get a bit more for your young friend.
Whatever you do it's an awesome cause.

I didnt think about that as I didnt want to come in and look like im trying to get my hand in everyones pocket and stand there just being a face looking the part,
I thought a pair of myne ok they have been crashed in and im not a 8 times NZ chamipon but I do race ok I havent won anything big I have 2 Land speed records to my name but It was the thought that counted I know you didnt mean to offend me either (and you havent).
I just think it doesnt matter whos leathers they are the signatures of New Zealands best riders should be what it is for,
Any ideas tho I am greatly appreciative

Good idea Ivan....and even though I'm no where near being "one of NZ's best rider" I'll be happy to sign them.

Bloody good on you mate:yes:
My thoughts on this are, just take them to Wanganui " H" HOLDEN DID
Walk around to all the riders yourself and ask them to perform with the marker pens YOU SUPPLY
No disrespect to any racer, but START with the MEDIA names first
Stroud-Shirrifs-T Fitzgerald-Cole SOME OLD BLOKE ON AN MV etc etc
Any one of the Teams there will give you a space to store them in safely mate.
I Take it the Auction will be a Trade one jobeeee at a later date?
I have jack shit left to Donate to this auction, but will look again and see what is availabale, I have to keep some things for my Daughter and wife from my racing days

What a Fantastic and Brilliant idea Ivan and what an Amazing person you are to do this for a very sick friend, A huge credit to you for doing this.
I wish you all the very best with it and hope that you get plenty of signatures and support from those who are willing to sign your Leathers.
Best of luck to your Special Friend who is lucky to have you as his.
