Push bike engine kits

Motrax also have a 70cc kit for an extra $100 but best of all is to use a shifter kit http://motrax.co.nz/index.php/component/virtuemart/?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=187&category_id=37 and then you can use your bike gears as well (instead of one fixed gear).

I've been thinking along those lines myself, I think it would be a hoot, and you can't get much more "retro" as far as motorcycles are concerned. Another person mentioned registration but I don't think that's required and I wouldn't bother if it was.
Have a look at the bicycle shop in New Brighton - they sell and install kits as well as completed bikes. They should be able to offer some advice.

most of them are chinese,who have yet to grasp the importance of thermal stability in two stroke pistons,due to the peculiarity of the 2T operating temperature characteristics as regards heat distribution and thermal transfer.

in other words,they are made out of used noodles.:shutup:

avoid the chinese ones and you will be fine

He lives out in the countryside so pedalling a push bike into town every day isn't really an option.
