Hey everyone,

My trip from Wellington to Wanaka is going well, and I'm now on the return leg, staying overnight in Christchurch. However I'm not sure all is right with my bike, there are some scraping noises coming from somewhere and I'm worried it's my chain, but could just be something like the front brakes rubbing. I want to get it looked at in case it's not benign. I'd hate to get stranded somewhere and had the opportunity to have it looked at.

Thing is, I'm not too familiar with Christchurch, or its mechanics... So can anyone recommend somewhere to take it in the morning for a quick poke around?

Thanks!

Or Duane at Duanes Bikes and Skis on Waterloo Road, just around the corner from Hamptons. Ex Norjo Kawasaki mechanic who is highly recommended.

Checked your chain tension? A loose chain will whip and make a horrible noise.

Stick it on the centre stand in neutral and "give it a whirl" with your hand ,ie spin the rear wheel, with ears at the ready.....

Thanks for the recommendations! Unfortunately no centre stand so it's a bit difficult to check myself, but I'll take it to one of those places and see what they say.

Thanks again.

I don't think Ian at Just Motorcycles is open yet (Xmas holiday etc). Ring before you go to New Brighton. The number is: 3829503

I'd try where Onearmedbandit recommends. Seeing as he will know his Kawasaki's
