...close of entries was yesterday, but we will not be printing the programme for a week or plus yet...entries are down on what we expected...but not really unexpected for the shit going on round here...for those who may still wish to enter, there is still time...unless our world turns completely on its tits between now and then, we have dialled in for a good day...

Well done to all the Team that ran Methven - pretty seamless day really, credit to those who had obviously done a lot of thinking - ESPECIALLY the Riders ........
the pep-talk at Riders Briefing seemed to work, no really idiotic crashes to hold up the meeting !!!!!!! And thanks to all those who paid to get in the gate

A good day out, rider numbers seemed down a bit but there seemed to be just as many spectators, good weather and some good racing, long may it continue

....the only thing we couldnt organise was the weather..and that organised itself in our favour...thanks to the competitors for listening and taking what we said to heart...this type of racing is the best form of promo to joe public, of our sport...cant get away from the odd bit of oil getting lost...thanks Grumph for the energy on the dummy grid...I love working with Ray Shearman, no bullshit accepted..none given...Phil is definitely in his element out there doing his stuff...makes the day flow...thanks to the organising committee's wives and families that turn to on the day, and let us get some racing in ourselves...there will always be the odd moan, we can handle it...a much improved layout from our first day there last year and probably a couple of things I noticed to act on for next year...to get through the whole program on time means that we did something right...thanks to all involved and those who came and paid to watch...log book in the mail Merv...

Awesome day. My first street race competing and I had a ball with some good tight racing. I only had the one bike so bucket class it was. Peter was riding well so had to settle for 2nd in two races and managed only forth in the last as I think the others had finally worked out some good lines.
Will definitely be back and will even go to Greymouth this year, this time with my ZXR too.
Well done to CAMS, Lions, fire brigade and so on and so on. A well run event which flowed really well. :niceone:

I was having a laugh at Phil saying Buckets only started 10 years ago, something he repeated every time they came out:facepalm:
I know how and where buckets came about, not sure whether you've ever raced them I wouldn't imagine your power to weight ratio would be that flash

MAAAATE, was into buckets right from the start ..... the HUUUUGE big bore of the mighty Horace was a real performance leveller. Bout equal to the average pencil sharpener ......... The NEXT comeback will be the sixth, so no hurry, eh ? Just need to find a pair of cows the same colour, so I can get the leathers sorted

No NEED - to this day, still hold the lap record round the original Sandpit MX track on a Vespa180 c/w sidecar while wearing slippers ( sadly, those ones have gone to God, modern replacements just dont seem to have the same load rating !!!!!!!!!
