I want to get a new helmet at some point, and going to get a lightweight one as the neck is not to good. Anyone know which ones would be the go, and where to get them from??

The SHARP helmet testing site includes the weight of most of the helmets. Go for a 4 or 5 star helmet if you can.

RJays put out a fairly lightweight helmet. Go to some of the big bike shops and enquire, or look online. they are not too expensive either - and fit real good.
p.s - we picked one up in Australia back in July

The Airoh Stelt Senior is around a 1000g which feels a lot lighter than other helmets.
There is a german site that has some good discounts on helmets and only charges a flat shipping rate of 14 euro or so to NZ. I think even with the cheapest it will be over the $400 GST limit so I think it would work out to early $500s landed including import and duty.

Airoh Stelt Senior:

I had a Stelt War that i bought from Triple X when it was going,so they may still stock them at TMG in Takanini or Newmarket

Its not always about the total weight but how the weight is carried and the aerodynamics......

Cant go past SHOEI

I've had an Airoh stelt for nearly a year now.
The BEST helmet ever! Light, comfy and easily washable.
There is a new more ventalated model coming out soon from airoh which I shal purchase as soon as it's availible.

Maybe you need to get some physio if your neck is that bad?

Aroh or Shoi are the lightest and best but if your on a budget i hear the sharks are quite light, but i LOVE my Aroh, even if i had to pay like $800 they are worth every penny.

Probably won't make much difference to you Rupe as you'd be fit,but i had an Airoh Stelt Senior an now have a Shoei VFX-W and can honestly say that the venting is allot better in the Shoei which is good if your a sweater like me,also the chin part of the Airoh is pretty close to your mouth and nose which i found a bit claustrophobic and the goggle space is a bit small as well........can't fault how light it was tho, just the opinion of a bloke that's had both Helmets.

The Airoh was 1000 grams my Shoei says 1350 grams, that's a large,i'm picking you'd be a medium which is 1250 grams. My mate bought my old Airoh and when you hold them together it you can notice it's slightly lighter but for the reasons i gave earlier i prefer the Shoei

I'm running the Shoei VFX-W.. Is bootyful.

Can't go wrong with an Arai either ; )

I'd never run an Airoh.. Only reason being is Taddy destroyed his face using one. That's put me off enough lol. Prefer a helmet that won't require full face reconstruction haha

These are great helmets and are light. They're new to our country think they are just arriving now.
