Hope I can post here since it's a race only gig.

I have 1 new set of Dunlop slicks. 195/17 108 and 125/17 106. 2 yrs old but have been stored in dark, warm and dry.
3 sets of used rears and fronts with lots of life left. Same storage.

wot compounds are they

OK, I'm gonna seem like a newbie here, which I am to Dunlops, but I can't decipher what the compound numbers/letters say. They seem to read 008 but it's fuckin hard to see. ( and yes, I am reading the small white stamped ones)

What are the usual digits and letters ?

And BTW, the new tyres are actually 2007's and the used 2008's. But as I said, stored well.

Well if you want to sell them at least market them properly. I dunno, maybe ad a trademe link and put up some pics - so people can at least see what it is you're tring to sell.....

Would you part with that much cash without being able to see what it is you're buying?! I bloody would'nt.

They're just black round things. I think most people looking in the 'Racing' forum know what he's selling.:bleh:

Erm, yeah, but second hand stuff needs pics IMO. I dunno, maybe you could spend that much on someones word, I could'nt (obviously the new ones don't really need pics but it does'nt hurt).

Or he can keep trying with no pics and never sell em.

Prob is mate most the guys that run these have plenty of S/H ones and they can get new ones much cheaper then that. Dunlop have also changed there profiles and they feel a bit different.

One thing in your favour is Dunlop always run out of tyres and there is none around at the moment so maybe in a few weeks you could ask double!!

You might want to market this in the trackday forum. Most of us can get a lot of tires for that price mate. Just my 2c. I can't use them anyways as they're Dunlops and will slow me down & if I go any slower I might as well stay at home.

OK thanks for the fed back guys.
Not sure if I go along with pics needed bit tho ... new dunlop tyres .. why do you need a pic of them ??? ... as pointed out ... they are black and round.

Agreed, way to expensive for trackday riders ... not the target market tho.

I'm surpised to hear that they can be purchased new for less than $750 though. They cost me over $900.

Basicly selling a new set of Dunlops for $750 and throwing in two sets of good practise ones for nix.

No hurry but ..... txt me 0275664162

FFS ... I'm just trying to sell some highly desirable top of the line race tyres since the bike I was going to use them on is sold.

If a buyer doesn't want the used tyres, which were free given the price I was asking is now reduced to $750, then fine, that's ok.

For a club racer, track day junkie or for practise the used tyres are still very, very good ..... if somebody is keen on them I will gladly email them a pic or two. Separated from the new ones I want $200 for the two sets ... they are not junk tyres.

Yes, and I merely suggested you take a pic of them. The way it was written it gave the impression that the used tyres were supposed to be a bonus/help make the sale more desirable.

That last post was'nt directed at you, it was at the comments suggesting people know what a tyre looks like. Oh and you're welcome for bumping your thread again and again......:motu:

The used Ntecs are now sold ... without the aid if pics:msn-wink:

So the unused, new but 2008 well stored Ntecs are still available.
$750

As Choppa said earlier, they'll probably go when the new stocks run out as the rounds progress.
