LOL. That "flywheel accumulator" is crazy looking. I wouldn't be surprised if people started calling it the Flux Capacitor!

I was looking at the photos (for quite a lengthy time now!) and just realised that the style resembles the old Le Mans legendary vehicle 911 GT1.

Yeah, both this and the original 918 concept have styling cues derived from the GT-1 and the later Carrera GT (Pics below for those that aren't familiar)
