If ever you wanted a good reason to make sure you have good quality kit, this has to be it.

Motorists on the M3 near Winchester were shocked to find themselves driving through a sudden shower of £20 notes billowing out of the rucksack of a motorcycle passenger. Several motorists pulled over to try and help the motorcyclists find the cash, but only £500 out of around £10,000 was recovered.

Police said they are making inquiries as to why the pair were carrying so much cash. The motorcyclists, from the Isle of Wight, told police they were going to buy a car with the money.

"This raised our suspicions and we are making checks as to where the money came from at the moment but it's not an offence to carry money," a police spokeswoman added.

Or just get a checking account and use it.

Oh come on, Lou!
That's really straining to find fault with the police. Now you're insinuating that they're plotting to do something even before it's happened.
Don't you find it a bit suspicious that someone's riding along with a bag containing that much cash? :spudwhat:
My son used to work in a shop selling electronics (no, not the one across the road from you, but one like it...) Virtually the only customers that paid with large wads of cash were almost certainly not normal, law-abiding citizens.

That and the fact they bought surveillance gear, scanners, etc.
And behaved in a very abnormal way....
