View Full Version : What keeps you up?
Biff

Ms Biff and the Bifflings are in bed, and have been for a while. I've watched some drivel on TV while the PC was rendering some video. Now I've settled down with my bottle of V.S.O.P, got a Royksop album playing in the background, and deciding whether I should go to bed or drink some more & stay here and talk bollox (although I do a good job of that sober too).
So what are your plans for the night? Do you intend just sit in front of the PC and surf the tinternet while all is quiet on the domestic front? Do you stay here, do you look to see what's out there on the world wide thingy? I do. And the shit I learn.
Tonights useless fact:
Botswana spends more on education than on defence. Very rare for a country to do that ya know.
Yawn

I just look blanky into space with my music on, that and alcohol are the only things that keep me going

I stay up at night until either I drink all the beer or depress myself enough.
Music and Striperella keeps me up :niceone: and a 12 pack of speights, 12 a day keeps the doctor away.

I hate sleepig, tis such a waste of time. So at the moment I'm reading, listening to the music (no idea what it is Mrs ixion chooses them), and surfing the web. Firefix is good for that I can [counts] 14 tabs open on different sites [15 just remembered one I've not visited for a while]
Eventually I fall reluctantly and grudgingly asleep. But not for a while yet.
Is it because they spend much on education or little on defence ? [googles] Hm, there is some suspicion that thenfigures may be wooly, aimed at impressing the IMF. But that may be sour grapes. Interesting anyway, and commendable. I guess. Unless someone invades them, in which case it becomes shortsighted.

Reading heaps of KB, music on, just downloaded another busa video. Love watching awesome power hurtling along the roads.
Also find when doing assignments I can concentrate better at night when all normal people are sleeping and all is quiet.
Other than that, sometimes I play the odd bit of computer games, and I have no idea where the time goes.
Best of all, I do this all from my bed. The wonders of a bluetooth accesspoint. :niceone:

You hurt my feelings. It's not true what poeple say about me anyway. My hairy palms and ailing eyesight are due to the fact that I have a part time job as a flea hairdresser.

Seriously though, what keeps me up is the fact that I don't have to get up at 6 am in the morning for work like I have the past 5 days in a row! :eek5:

You could practise your spelling, it might help when the employer knows you can spell...
a bear would probably not soothe the pain, but it could "make that there pain go away"

Read KB find old interesting stuff on this site. Surf through pictures of random stuff that pops into my head. (not like you biff) usually stuff I hear on the news while I'm typing this. Downloaded the trailer to batman begins and war of the worlds also have full movie downloads running for Reign of fire and the second triple X movie (The one Ice Cube did based on Vin Deisels movie, get your mind out the gutter biff)
Then gonna watch them aswell as what ever movies I can find that look interesting then at about 9 tomorrow I'm headed to Quasi's house. I also watch auctions on ebay. Usually motorbike parts so I can get an idea of how high they will go when I bid on a similar item.

Crap I need to get out to Tauranga soon. My mom bought the special edition box set trilogy of the lord of the rings. That would have made the perfect movie to watch tonight cause I would have to pause the second movie about half way through to go help out tomorrow...

Out of the corner of my eye I'm looking over some notes for my exam next week. Apart from that I'm on the intermerveb researching specs on dual sport bikes, and checking over some threads on advrider.com. Found a good train spotter thread with a picture of one of these:

A Moto Guzzi Quota of all things. Seems to combine the practicality of a KLR650 with the alure of a transverse v twin.

So my ultumatye gardge would likely contain:
Moto Guzzi Daytona
KTM 950
Honda XR650 or KTM640 Enduro
a UJM racebike or bucket.
