Legend status, first watched Shawn ride at Levels back in the late 80s early 90s on a Moriwaki Honda CBR750,Then had the pleasure to race and narrowly just get beaten by him at Manfield in 2000.Top bloke :niceone::clap:

Yep, end of an era. He was the benchmark for so long, if you could compete with Gilesy then you were a serious challenger for the title.
Leaves a big hole at Suzuki....Herfoss to step up after winning the 6-hundies last year?

Spot on chop but the 600 will be built by PTR Racing but I dont think they will run the bike from within the team

Isn't Robbie basically on a factory bike anyway? I could be wrong but I was under the impression he was running a PTR bike just outside the Factory team?

Not the most extended retirement we've ever seen : Giles will be back into it this weekend at the Phillip Island Classic, subbing for Craig McMartin on one of the magnificent Irving Vincents !!

I didnt peak Gazz , i levelled out in a steady climb , got several titles and then got old enough to feel the pain lol . Then i thought it would be ok but it still hurt and cost me lots more :msn-wink:
The other reason is i had to hold back to let the really old guys like yaself and Mcdonald get something aye ....
