It doesn't take notice of the gender flag, or use gender neutral language:

rwh,
hellokitty has recently quoted you in a post he made. This user's quotes of you are:

:)

A gender neutral solution is easiest, so they say.

You've only just noticed .. ??? it's been that way for as long as I can remember ...

Quote notification is not a feature that I've ever enabled. It does however have more value than tags and way more than the now disabled flame warrior.

What? Like "hellokitty recently quoted you in a post IT made..?"

Dunno about that, Mr Hitcher...

Quote notification is handy for "trollers" to see reactions sooner ... :innocent:

I do recall your experiences with flame warrior ...

...in a post THEY made.

I should start a weekly award for obtuseness.

Nah. "They" is plural. There is only one hellokitty. I would have thought BDOTGNZA members would know obvious things like that...jeez :weird:.

One correct solution would be something like "You have recently been quoted in a post made by hellokitty."

Easy for those of us with a superior knowledge of language... :dodge:

They (pronoun):

(Snip)

He or She - used instead of 'he' or 'she' to refer to a person without specifying gender. Example - "A friend phoned the other day and they told me what you had said".

Jeez, now we have people that try to correct BDOTGNZA, only they fail horribly :bleh:

True. But then I do like to challenge BDOTGNZA...'specially on a slow afternoon like today's.

Anyway, I still reckon my suggestion is better than using "they".
