A great deal for someone just stepping up from a 250.

Test-rode one of them years ago. Massive amounts of torque.

Idly considered getting one now to save running up the Ks on Boris.

Not a bad price that. Rode one (well, a Savage) for a week or so a few years ago (temp swap with my 250 so some guy could get legal), pretty nice to ride.

Seriously considered getting one myself... but with the increased rego costs now. That's a pretty sharp price there I'd think, if it was in chch, I'd be quite tempted by that. I need it like a hole in the head, but I'd be tempted.

Of note, if the LAM list ever becomes reality in NZ, these will hopefully be on it... could increase the value a bit.

If I remember correctly, the brand new ones cost similarly to a brand new Hyosung GT250Rs back in 2007.

They will absolutely be on the LAM list.

I considered getting one of these as it came in an awesome pink and white colour  Even the salesman said to me that going to a single cylinder is a step backwards. For a few bucks more I got a V twin.
The engine just looks ugly.
I know nothing about bikes but from what I was told by the 3 people I know that have them, they said go for the V twin.

Biggest piece of shit I have ever ridden. The Suzuki sewerage should've been left in the abortion bucket, might as well have a bloody GN250. No torque, no power, no chance on the highway. I would rather kill myself than have to ride one of those again, definitely not worth the 2 grand asking. The advert is an insult to the Toyota Corolla... at least you can have some fun in one of those.

Same price as a GTR250 were they? Well bugger me, I've actually found a bike I'd want less than a GTR250.

I have to agree, they're pretty crappy.

They're built to a price - you get what you pay for. At one stage they sold at well below the price of the Intruder 250 V-twin - that should tell you something about their build and quality.

Suzuki market them as a cruiser, but they're really just a commuter - not really designed for highway use. The suspension is crap, the steering geometry is dodgy, the drive-belt problematic, and the fit and finish rather down-market. The fuel tank size is a joke.

As a light-weight commuter with cruiser looks, it's worth what you pay for it. But not beyond the city boundaries.

The guy at the Suzuki place pretty much said what you guys said but in a nicer way :niceone:

And he did say that I may as well keep the GN250 than get that bike, I would only come back in a month complaining about it.

One of my mates has got one and they're ok. He could easily do a thousand k day on it with no probs. (apart from fuel stops as they have a silly little tank).
