Couple of un-signposted patches of seal repair with a loose metal surround right on some of the blind corners. No real dramas if you take it easy.

It might be a good idea if Mr Morgan and his "bike safety committee" spend some of their $2 million of ACC levy money educating road repairers about how fecking dangerous this sort of hazard is to bikers.

Ha. Chance would be a fine thing - it'll go to some expensive ad agency to make dumb ads and silly pamphlets.

You sound like you've spoken to the new group about how the funds will be spent? My source informs that what you've suggested above is exactly what made the biggest difference to the injury rate in Victoria. Educating the roading engineers.

The number for Auckland Transport’s Call Centre is (09) 355 3553
If its a hazard get them to log it as urgent (used to be a 4 hr turnaround).

Code of Practise for working on the road (Auckland Council) (http://www.aucklandtransport.govt.nz/improving-transport/maintenance/Road/Pages/CoPWiR.aspx)

I have noticed there appear to be a lot of those road repair patches all around south auck lately. Really wish they would not leave loose gravel all over the place.
KawaKawa Bay road has them too but they havent relaid the bit just before the downhill into the bay, bloody slippery there.
