Superstock 600 rule question

Does anyone know if superstock 600's have a wheel restriction? I'm looking at getting a 675 for this class, and it may end up easier buying a set of aftermarket wheels and using the standard ones to house wets if needed, as opposed to searching for spare original ones.
Obviously i don't want to do this if it puts me into F2 instead of STK600.

And i've read the rules from NZSBK.com and they didn't mention wheels at all.

Super stock 600 & 1000, or Supersport or Production Superbike. It makes no difference, wheels must remain stock. Biggles is still crying over it.

It its not mentioned in the rules it must remain standard. (except slipper clutches on CBR600's............):msn-wink::niceone:

Unfornuanately............. for those who wish to race something other than a japaneese clone!!!!!!!!! where wheels are so common that people use them for garden hose reels (i have a gsxr rim as a garden hose reel) it is a distinct disadvantage to have to have to use oem wheels. (also have a 675 race bike)
Guess rules cant please all the people/all the time............ but definately a "bummer" for those of us that want to race european bikes.
Do some searching on the "net"........ lots of stuff in UK & USA and when you cost it out..... ostly cheaper. As long as you plan well ahead.

cheers fella's. okay, so if the 675 daytona comes with a triumph branded quick shifter as a dealer avail option with a plug in play function, is this allowed for STK600?

I believe the quickshifter or other options have to be standard fitment items to the road bike you buy (the homologation numbers sold rules out many exotic SP type versions)
The new 2012 675 has quickshifter / ohlins and carbon fairings as standard....... therefore all legal.................. its the one we are saving for:msn-wink:

I'd read that as a yes. Especially as the new R model has it fitted at the factory (It also has Ohlens FRONT & REAR !!!)

You should seek clarification from MNZ though if you think you will be in the money - better to find out from them now, rather than after someone protests!!

Spare wheels are gonna be though - it took me over a YEAR to get some !!

Are you gonna be racing the NZSBK Nationals? The 'Stock classes only exist in NZSBK so if you are only gonna be racing club or street events it's F2 rules where just about anything goes.
