My Thruxton is regrettably up for sale. It is a modern classic but still in keeping with the minimilist cafe racer style of yesteryear. Lots of mods including...

*TPUSA high compression pistons
*813 cams (much better mid range pull)
*Head flowed/ported/polished
*Igniter unit remapped - timing advanced 3 degrees and rev limit raised to 8200rpm
*British customs Predator exhaust
*Airbox removed/pod filters
*Dynojet carb springs/needles/jets
*Ikon 7610 rear shocks with adjustable pre-load/rebound
*Ricor intiminators in front forks
*New 4.5" wide rear rim (running Michelin Pilot Road 2's, 160x17 rear & 120x18 front)
*Gauges and headlight lowered (ignition now on right)
*Custom rear fender eliminator and lights
*Custom instrument pods & decals
*Polished covers etc and the list goes on...

Old school looks with modern reliabilty and performance, runs and handles far better than stock. It sounds awesome, is very unique and gets plenty of looks and compliments. It is in great condition, rego till start of May, oil and filter done @ 17,000km. There are loads of photos of the bike and the mods in my albums on my profile.

Anyone interested please contact Rhys on 0275100006. Cheers

This is exactly what they should be like :)

I hope it goes to a good home. haha I'd cry if I had to sell that.

Hello speedy, I doubt whether I will be able to find ANYTHING to keep up with you, but you are very much to blame for me wanting to sell it! :)

Crikey Rhys, hope you're sticking with a Triumph. Or are you going for a Commando?:msn-wink: You've certainly done the Thruxton proud.

It doesn't matter what you ride it's all about being smooth.

I waxed my entire body .... so smooth ....... but it did not improve my riding! :bleh:

I had that Triumph down as a keeper - very very nice.

Hi Geoff, sorry about the late reply, I have been away for the last week. I've sold the bike, it's gone already! :crybaby: I am not sure i have done the right thing, but I can't afford to have 2 bikes. I almost brought a Speed Triple, but have gone back to a Ducati, I pick up my 09 Monster 1100 at the end of the week  and Gareth has just about finished the make over on his Commando and it looks really amazing now!

Anyway I hope all is well with you mate. Take care - Rhys

Hi Rhys,
Good choice, you'll be very happy. Saw a Desmosedici being demonstrated yesterday at Pukekohe by an guy who was even older than me and man, did he fly! Hope for us all yet!

All good here - drop in for coffee when you're up this way and say hi to the Kinleith gang!

Geoff
