Hullo general populace of Kiwibiker.

I'm about to finish my course (diploma of Web Development) and I've been applying for full-time jobs. However, it can't hurt to add a repertoire of live websites to my portfolio (and to help pay the rent after studylink stops coming through ;) ).

I'll be free of assignments as of the 1st of February.

So if you feel like your website needs an update, or you don't even have one at all, send me a PM with a vague outline and we can sort out the details later. I'll help set up the hosting and domain name registration if need be.

You can view my current portfolio here (http://danaemc.com). Although it may be a little too pretty for some of you, I can assure you I can make badass designs as well. ;)

To register a domain, a .com is ~USD$9 for a year. Hosting is a little more expensive, and the price depends on if you get a dedicated server or not. It'll be more like USD$5 - $10 a month. .co.nz domains are pretty expensive, though.

Hi Danae. Good luck with your future career.

I am at the point of looking to build a website for RideLife. I have the URL address secured and will be looking at costing's shortly.
If you can be of help in that area, I'll happy to use the services of those in the KB community (if prices are in the ball park).
Cheers

Hi Danae, My Son-in-Law builds, hosts and SEO's websites and has done so for many years. He can offer good hosting rates. If you were to contact him and introduce yourself he may be interested in seeing what you can do. Of course I can't promise anything and he is extremely busy, but it wouldn't hurt to send him an email. I say this because he was telling me he's got too much work on and isn't sure how he's going to mangage it all, so you could offer to demonstrate your ability to him. contact him on rudy@yhp.co.nz

Sounds like a great offer, if nothing else comes up I'd be keen to help. :)

Looks like a good opportunity, I'll be sure to send him a short email. :) I've been looking for better hosting.
