Has anybody had experience with these tyres? Are they a cheap chinese made tyre? I'm after a 90/90/18 front and a 110/90/18 for the rear.

Just had a quick squizz at Tme and very little to choose from. I haven't started chasing the bike shops yet but will have too I think.

I can't remember the type of IRC it was that came on my vfr, but they were shyte.

Bearable on a good day (dry warm etc) in any other condition they had less grip than a greasy pig and inspired as much confidence as Adolf did in the jews.

I'm sure Whites imports them... And if your putting them on your GB they will be fine.

I have been told that the IRC is the tyre that is sold with the VL250 Suzuki. If I went to a 100/90/18 on the rear how would the bikes handling change? This would be 10mm narrower than the original 110.

If you can squeeze a 100/90 on the front you could go Pirelli sport demon....

I had the sport demon on my 250 and loved it. Would a wider front make it want to run wider/slower to drop in when leaning? Putting a 100 on the front would be dependent on the rim width I suppose.

There should be a Pirelli or Dunlop that will fit. Better than the other options .....

Michelin GO tires might fit too, some of the bucket racing guys have them on 18" rims.

Might be worth looking into also.

get into your favourite shop and get them to price up a set of Bridgestone BT45's. great grip wet or dry, wear remarkably well, priced right

IRCs were on my GPX when i got it. Pieces of crap! Actually pieces of crap would probably have more grip.

I have a Kenda on the front of mine. Ok in dry, does not inspire confidence in the wet. Havent lost it yet but ride very conservative when wet & even then have changed line mid corner unexpectedly. wont be putting another one of them on.

I'll go with a reconized brand name. Nothing I've heard about Kenda, IRC, Shinko inspires me much.

At the end of the day, my brain and the tyres are the two most important safety factors when riding. The $60 I save on a cheap tyre aint going to pull back the costs of a funeral much..
