Who's heading down? Really neat ride for the views and stuff. I really struggled on one of the expert section hills last year on my wee RM, so looking forward to creaming it this year! :) And trying the beach run if I'm brave enough?!

the weather forcast is not good, but if it is fine this is an awesome ride, it is the old huntly 4 hour track through sunset station, some wicked riding to be had

Yep might try and do his one will be my last ride from AK.
Did it a few years back including the bit on the beach and river crossing and up a hill that was slippery and pretty gravelly as I remember. Awesome views over sunset beach ( i think it is) and the sea.

yep you're dead right scott the weather looks like rain in which case it will pretty muddy and slippery. Might make it gruesome or fun depending on ability and what you term as fun!:msn-wink:

Its a good ride, and if Oparau enduro wasnt on the same weekend, id be there for the third year running.
IMO, the rain will do the tracks more good than harm, if the forecast now is accurate, unlikely but hey, then it will rain saturday and be ok-ish for sunday, and on those grounds alone I would go :weird:

Was going to Kaikohe to ride but that's washed out, then thought about the Sunset ride... bugger and the new date (27 March) is Tussock Buster weekend. So whats left... possibly Dome Valley or a spin around the sandpit...
