I thought 640x480 might be a bit low but Retro Asian's mini cams seem quite good quality. I tried looking on the venom-group website for more info on the camera but it doesn't seem to be on there
The small size is definitely a plus over relatively large POV cameras like the GoPro.
You should get one and review it for us :scooter:

The GoPro HD's have good quality, but the sound can get a little rough above 90kph I found...
Suction cup mount so far has been stuck strong even in windy conditions.

A dredge buuuut:
It has an algorithm that filters wind noise if it can detect the mechanical noises.
If the wind noise is substantially louder than the engine it doesn't work. If the mechanical noise and wind noise are roughly equal - it filters the wind noise very effectively.
A lot of modern bikes don't make enough noise for the filter to work.
Try and get it closer to the engine or exhaust outlet.

The packaging and experience. I get to use it on a lot of different bikes.

I don't know about a noise reduction algorithm but understand it has AGC (automatic gain control)

Yeah. Quite right. I did read that other blurbage on a box somewhere though.
The mechanics are the same nonetheless. You have to give it give it enough mechanical noise to gain with - then it works well.

I agree! Shall get a thread made tomorrow and round up the best on YouTube.

Depends on the model of GoPro the SD ones were shit for wind, and the older HD ones weren't to flash either the newer model HD cams are alot better, but if your gonna use it on your head, you put on the little door with the holes in it, cuts out the wind but you can hear everything alot better, otherwise stick it close to the bike and leave the waterproof door on.

Still have not had the go pro on the bike yet:angry: but if it's mechanical noise that's required my bike has it well covered. Bag of hammers springs to mind.

On the engine bars works better than the handlebars. Helmet mounts are my last resort. I only wear it if the bike vibes too much or there is nowhere else to mount it.
Works OK for racing - big action stuff, but for road riding on your mellon takes the lean and feeling of speed out of it. Harder to get the bike noise too.
The chest mounting harness seems to give the best onboard aspect on a bike. Next purchase.

I've stuck the suction cup onto the fairing, seems to hold real tight. Would be easier to rip off the fairing panel than the sucker. Just have to see if it's affected by vibrations or bird strike..

The handlebar mounting kit is good too. You can even stick it on footpegs.
