Potentially silly Q's however I couldn't find the details on silverbullet or your website scott. How much is the ride and do we need fire extinguishers?

Hey Scott,
PM me if you need a hand on Friday. I can bring my quad and a small trailer if that helps.
Sorry I can't do any more on the Sunday but it clashes with the Pukekohe Classic Festival and that is the big annual thing for me.

Regards,

Mike.

Looking forward to it, just have to remember not to try anything I see at Nitro Circus on Saturday night.

How dry is out there at the moment?

Dodgyiti
2nd February 2011, 16:44
I'm just up the road from the venue and the drought has well and truly broken:woohoo:
2 major downpours in the last 3 weeks have at least reduced the grass fire risk:laugh:

the last ride was paparimu and is the only one of ours that is bush based, this one is farmland so more open,

we have an awesome family loop again for the younger or less experienced riders, similar to glen murray's one,

main loop condition is perfect, enough rain to make the ground perfect, will be an awesome day for sure

Yeah was good fun.

Everyone seemed in good spirits and happy to help if you needed it.

That hill climb immediately after a tight turn caught me out. There were a few people in various stages of failing to get up it stuck on the hill. That killed my momentum.

Had to roll back and have another go at it. 125 2/ wasn't going to pull me up there without a bit of run up.

Good times!

Great day out, first loop slippery, second better, third confidence high and had an absolute ripper, then sat around in the pits not realising I was getting mega sunburn!

Funniest thing I saw this morning was a chick parked next to us doing laps of the car park with a watermelon for a helmet. Really good bunch of people where I was parked.

bit of History for those that attended,

the old shed with the steeple in it that was behind the sign on tents was one of the orginal stations for the Auckland to Hamilton Cobb and Co Stage Coach,
