Off camping this weekend and thought that instead of lugging jars of jams and pottles of margarine etc it would be a good idea to just get hold of some of those wee plastic single serve foil topped containers that you get in hotels etc. Anyone know where to buy them?

Cash and Carry?
Or go to a restaurant and pinch a whole lot.

Actually, find a takeaway bar and see if they'll sell you some.

Walk into a hotel at breakfast, give a bogus room number, sit down at a table, scoop a pile into your bag and "go to the toilet" ahem leg it.....

I believe you can open an account with them and shop there. They aren't always the cheapest but do have variety unavailable in the supermarkets,

The one up here (well, out West) you have to have a company to open an account (even a cash account)

Film canisters are good - if you can still get them - and reusable.

I think you're right, my daughter and son-in-law have an account but I think it's through their company.

I'm not the OP here, and I could use my own company to do the same. I have been there with my daughter and bought a few things on their account though.

Vegemite comes in toothpaste style containers now. Just don't get it mixed up with the toothpaste or it will look like you've been eating pooh!

Easy really, just try these steps
1 - buy a tub of vegemite, spread and a jar of your favourite jam
2 - Trawl through the bins of every major hotel you can get to in town
3 - Retrieve the empty plastic vegemite, spread and jam table containers
4 - Fill said empty containers with vegemite, spread and jam
5 - glue the lids back down
Hey presto, job done and problem solved

I don't know whats round your area, but places like Toops, Davis Trading would be the sort of places to check. If you have 1 I am bloody sure Toops do carry them tho.
Oh and FYI be prepared to pay a little bit more for 'em because if I remember right those small packets do carry the "convenience" premium on them

Got "Moore Wilsons" down there?
Up here, they are full of that kind of stuff.
(Seems like a lot of packaging to deal with, when camping...)

Toops type wholesalers, can pay cash if you have a dealers name to use at payment,i.e if you know a sports club or business has an account use it and pay.
