Can't find a thread about this so here are the details. The Victoria Motorcycle Club are running a track day on the 20th. The usual 4 groups but it will be interesting to see who turns up, given that it's the same day as Paeroa.
Cost is $25 for members, $60 for non-members. Gates will be open 7.30 with sign on around 8. On the track as soon after 9am as we can. We are very keen to ensure that novice and beginning track day riders get a positive experience if they come along. Novice and medium groups will be led with a close eye kept on passing behaviour and unsafe riders will be sent home. We will also have some more experienced members there to do a bit of low key coaching and rider support.
If you have always been a bit nervous about doing a trackday, this is a very affordable way to pop your cherry in a safe environment.
Fingers crossed for some good weather.

Tape all glass, and/or remove mirrors. Bike should have a current wof and undergo scrutineering.
Riders must have minimum cordura jacket, draggin jeans, boots, gloves, helmet in slow class. Full cordura or leathers medium class and up.

Clivoris will no doubt confirm and/or add to the above.

Will there be refunds if you're unable to attend or extremely bad weather?

For the slowest + second slow groups, what's the gear requirement? Eg is a good two-piece leather set with no waist zip acceptable, or codura gear which does have a zip?

Also, any info on costs for booking a garage?

Hi peeps. I have been told that there will be no refunds. With regard to two piece leathers with no zip vs cordura zipped? I would say that we wont stop you wearing either as they meet the minimum requirement, but the choice is yours.

I must admit besides the weather being perfect it was the most enjoyable Track Day l have ever attended. I more than enjoyed myself and felt with the help of the Marshall John who was leading the Novice Class he helped me push myself a little harder and has built my confidence up to another level :woohoo: Thanks heaps for that.
It was so strange riding home on my road bike after getting off the Race Bike. At first l felt like l was still on the track until l realised there were 4 wheeled vehicles out there with me and that it wasn't the Race Track l was on.
Thanks VMCC and helpers for a most Enjoyable and Funfilled Day and also to my partner Russell who is such a wonderful person who gives me so much support with making sure the air in my tyres are right and that l have enough fuel in the tank before going out...... You Rock Sweetheart:love:
