Is there anywhere online that sells and ships KTM gear to NZ?

KTM Cycle Hutt has an awesome selection but they are strictly US only.

I'm really keen on one of these jackets but I'm sure it would cost me an arm and a leg getting it through a kiwi dealer.

They use some weird 3rd party for shipping though, never used to be like that.. I'm a bit hesitant to order again.. Don't want to be torn a new asshole for shipping.

No no no... you can't actually wear KTM clothing in public, otherwise you look like a KTM twat. You know, the smug looking pricks you see at things like Nitro Circus wearing the KTM gear, looking like they think they're in some sort of 'cool kids club'.

Shame my KTM cap didn't turn up in time for Nitro, I had to keep loudly mentioning that I had a KTM just like one of the FMX guys... was very inconvenient, not sure everyone around me heard...

It's just to keep the KTM dealers out of trouble with KTM as they protect the local suppliers by insisting on no international sales, a friend of mine has used the third party shipping a lot and never had any trouble.

Does he find the cost of shipping any higher than usual? Because they charge by weight

I had heard that KTM where clamping down on dealers shipping parts out side of the usa real big as there was a heap of it going to auzzie and that the clamp down included 3 big dealerships losing their support from KTM as a result of being the worst offenders. Not sure what truth there was to it was round the middle of last year and was a dealer here some where cant remember who though.

Ordered the jacket yesterday form ktm-parts.com. Cost about $15 to send to the third party forwarding company. So we're at $235USD at the moment. Will be interesting to see what the final cost will be.

I think people that wear Holden Racing Team or Ford "Performance" stuff look a lot more twat like than someone in a KTM jacket ...

I agree completely (they don't sell KTM jackets at the Warehouse...). My post was taking the piss out of myself as much as anything, as I'm trying my hardest not to be a KTM fanboi, but the cap and stickers on my car are the start of a long, slippery slope...

Righty ho. Didn't turn out exactly as I had envisioned. All up it cost me about $540NZD. The jacket itself was $313 and the fucking shipping was nearly as much at $227. I haven't checked to see if I've actually saved any money but I'm pretty sure sourcing the jacket from an NZ would have been in a similar price range.

Now I might have to wear this jacket to social occasions just to justify the price.

If it makes you feel any better the NZ price was about the same however there was no stock available The KTM Powerwear for NZ is an indent order once a year around August and arrives in November just in time for Xmas
Not many dealers in NZ are big (or brave) enough to order a full selection of sizes and styles

How the hell can the shipping be that much? that's ludacris. Did they have to charter a flight for it?

Wouldn't surprise me. It only took three days to get here.

What are you up to at the moment? Still asking people whether they would like to see your balls?

Ah bugger, I'd heard bongo was expensive... I was just about to put in an order for some Moose Racing gear, as it is pretty well priced on KTM parts... will just cancel.

I never once accepted one of your 78 offers. I think it's the head on your shoulders that needs looking at Lindsay Brohan.

JayGTI, good call. I should have really looked into things further. At least you guys know now.

In fairness to you, the Bongo site does seem to go out of its way to make it difficult to figure out how much their freight forwarding will cost...

Yeah that's really bad. They make out that its just as cheap, clearly isn't. Can never order from KTMPARTS.COM again :(!

Anymore good KTM sites one should know about? Without the killer shipping..

Mr Motorcycles Pukekohe has some gear in, not sure exactly what but I saw a wall of KTM stuff, including can openers and all sorts of things... they had shirts but I cant remember what else... Best to ring them as the web site often is out of date with some catagories

Forget NZ and Aussi go on E Bay specifically UK, Germany and France and you'll find what your after , almost all will ship to NZ , courier rates can vary so shop around .
I buy all my gear this way except boots { heavy to ship} and parts for my Vintage KTM . usually 2-3 wks delivery .

http://www.blackfootdirect.com/

FYI - Blackfoot Motosports has a ton of KTM stuff... even toasters (although it probably won't work with your electrical grid) in their shop. Their website is hard to navigate.

Blackfoot Direct is technically a separate company that does more online stuff. They deal with American distributors and also sell specialty dirt bikes like Beta, Sherco and Husqvarna (ktm).
