I see cycletreads had a one day sale on Michelin "Pilot Power Race" tyres...
Now I know about Pilot Road, Pilot Power, Pilot Pure etc, but what exactly are Pilot Power Race? OK I have read the blurb but has anyone used them? I had not heard of them before...

I think Power Race were Michelin's equivalent to Pirelli's Supercorsa, a track tyre. I only ever saw a few ones at the track, most people were on Pirellis.
Michelin Power One is probably a better choice these days, if you after a sticky track tyre. Power Ones seems to have gained a lot of popularity in a short amount of time.
I never tried Power Race.

What do you want to use them for? Yes I know, to put on your bike, or to ride on, but what exactly.

Ill go a +1 for power ones. I have the power ones V which are a bit steeper profile on the front. Incredible feel and grip on the side of the tyre.

The power race is their supersport tyre. It is a treaded RACE tyre. (like a supercorsa) They're pretty good, specially in the wet.

Well, I don't really want them at all - I was just curious as to what they were since I didn't know that particular tyre. I see they advertise three grades - the firmest being for road use.
I'm still happy with the BT 016's...

I recently put a power race (med soft) on the rear of my 05 zx6 and have found it great, but be wary of cold track orientated tyres, they need heat.

Shit that's unreal! You barely gave it any lean and it came out. I thought it was bullshit about track tyres being ice when cold.
