**Sorry Mods - not sure where this should go..**

"A system for the reporting of hazards/problems/incidents on state highways is now in operation.

It’s called Transit Road Event Information System (TREIS).

The phone number to report a hazard is free call 0800 4444 49, Nationwide.

Anything requiring immediate attention is phoned through to the relevant highway contractor (the TREIS people have all the relevant boundary details/call out personnel, numbers etc.), as they are the first point of call.

It is followed up with an email.

The person reporting the hazard /incident will be asked several standard questions and a report will later be generated by the “updater organisation e.g. Opus.

The system is not used for longstanding road quality issues e.g. camber or width of shoulder etc. and is only for state highways."

If you class it as a hazard and an immediate problem then ring it in by all means mate :)

It probably went the same way as most of the TREIS emails I get.
