I saw this on the Streetfighter website today and I'm wondering myself whether MAG NZ will be at all like MAG UK. (see quote at bottom of page)
DIRECT ACTION and DISRUPTION! The time for talk is over. If the pricks in power can relax in their Laziboys and think we won't ever take action; they won't be too worried about motorcyclists' concerns going into this election.
BRONZ, Ulysseus and the HOG etc can talk on our behalf: what has been missing is ACTION in order to back up our case and get media and public involved. So far, the only MAG 'action' I've been aware of is through KB online. None of my relies know who the fuck MAG is, nor do any of my non biker buddies.
I firmly believe the Gareth Morgan led council will come to sweet fuck all. If he gets some kind of report into Prick Smiff in the next month or so, we might be tossed a bone. If it takes much longer, we will be lost in back chatter leading up to the election. In the past, BOTH Narional and Labour have held investigations into contentious issues close to elections deliberately knowing that if they are not re-elected, the incoming Govt won't act on recommendations and even if they are re-elected, the new version of the same Govt will say priorities have changed and will delay and delay until the sky turns green. No select committee or special council formed within 9 months of a general election is worth shit.
Time to start is now; turn up at Jamie Ross's parade as he tries to get elected in Botany; DISRUPT it! Make us relevant. Disrupt EVERY National meeting leading up to the election and more.
Turn up at every Labour, Green, Act meeting and argue our case, get them to speak for us and commit to real reform.
Words rides anpress releases won't do a damn thing: we need to take note of how thE UK MAG disruption and protest was run and go further if we have to.
Yes Caseye, If nothing intervenes, I'll be there.BTW; will there be someone on the door asking each person entering to swear an oath that they are not police, working for police, Govt, or working for Govt?
"Joined MAG today, I was in it for 10 years back Pommy land, hopfully NZ MAG into the same direct action and disruption that makes the point & gets stuff done.
Just got Rego yesterday for the old trumpy, and read on the form its going up 2.5% more already as the B**tards are putting GST on it in October
"Tax ontop of Taxes." "

This scenario was pointed out last weekend but the words ''all it would take is 10 bikes at each meeting/venue'' was added.

Great to have you down here on Monday Mark, unfortunately I will be unable to return the favour and attend your meeting.
Hope it all goes well and you end up with some defined startegies that all mo'bikers can get behind and support.

Talk is cheap, has there been any ACTION?
The very day I see MAG become relevant by organizing effective ACTION, you'll have my total support and my dollars.
Until then, my wallet stays zipped for the same reason I'm not a BRONZ member.
BTW: when The PM (Prime Manipulator) gave his speech at Whitianga opening their new marina, I was one of only 3 bikers with the balls to go and disrupt his speech; one of the othervtwo was my wife. Some thirty bikers parked outside the event but they didn't have the gonads to take ACTION.
We revved our loud bikes pointed directly at him the second Key tried to speak and held the whole thing up for at least 15 minutes. The media totally ignored the fact that the leader of the country was embarrassed by 3 bikers; how are you going to get the media to air our issues instead of sucking up to their boy?

Action taken physically?....no.

Action taken physically?....no.
What other kind is there?
BRONZ and the others are talking and writing, if MAG is not taking 'physical action' as you put it: MAG is irrelevant and a waste of time. The UK founders should then remove permission for the NZ group to use the name.
Hey I know, you could be MIG in stead of MAG; Motorcycle Inaction Group
Member speak: "I know, let's all go for a nice ride so we can pat each other on the back and feel that we were "succesful" because 50 bikers turned up (even though we actually achieved fuck all)"; yes, that's cynicism.
What did I read on the MAG website?
"Several successful protest events were planned and executed.....blah blah"
MAG: Please define "success". From where I sit, nothing changed.

Some people dream of success... while others wake up and work hard at it.
MAG is about dedication Mike, we are not driven by success.
Not a Tall Poppy to be seen within.

Thanks for making that clear MAHA, I wouldn't want to give my money to losers
My opinion? Screw that pc crap: bikers NEED a group that will WIN for them
Interesting too; MAG UK had some very tall poppies. One member spent years going back n forth to prison on behalf of bikers rights.
That's the type of organization Ill send money to

I knew it!
Mama hasn't replied to that post but has chased a different thread where he can avoid it.
True colours recognized, MAG will never get my money while led by people without the balls to take action.
In fact it's a travesty that such a group can pretend to model itself on the REAL MAG from the UK.
