Just got me one today. Only question I have do I need to disconnect the battery from the bike to charge/maintain or can I just hook the charger straight onto the terminals while the battery is still conncected to the bike?
Didn't find any info in the manual so not sure. Just want to make sure in case I damage my bike or something.

Use the permanent connection system supplied. Just tuck the plug safely away under the seat.
I've used this for approx. 3 1/2 years as I tend to go away for up to 5 weeks at a time. The wife can easily connect the charger and turn on.
Fully charged battery when I return.:yes:
I've seen NO negative issues doing this.

The whole idea of this sort of battery maintainer is that it is left permanently connected - there's no way it can damage the battery or the bike unless it develops a fault. Make sure there's a fuse at the battery end of the permanent connection system....

Ok sweet as guys. I'm currently just using the aligator clamps as I tend to use it once a week. I check on it daily though to make sure everything is ok.

Wouldn't it be easier to use the wiring kit and be able to just plug it in rather than get the seat off and mess around with aligator clips? Even though you can't connect the clips the wrong way round, they can fall off or short the battery to the frame or whatever.....
Also, using it weekly is not really maintaining the battery , more like topping it up. The Oximiser will be giving the battery a top up charge rather than stopping the slow self discharge if it was left connected.
There's not really any harm in what you are doing, but you could have just bought a simple cheap battery charger if you were going to manually connect it weekly - the idea of battery maintainers is that they are permanently connected
Something else to consider - on a few of my bikes I have added a cigarette lighter socket for plugging in accessories - very handy even just for a phone charger or similar on long trips. You could add a cig lighter socket and then you use that as the charge socket when at home so it's multipurpose.

My bike being a V-Twin, I need as much charge as my battery cant get to start the thing. Bikes like mine should be using a gel battery but some previous owner replaced itg with a normal sealed battery.

Gel or AGM???
I agree with permanent connection, but how well does your bike start normally? Does it crank slowly, fast, disengages a lot?
