walking around Auckland i found a place called "deus ex machina", it seams a cafè or pub, with the factory area for bikes..
i saw it during morning so there aren't bikers or costumers..only a mom (..ehm..good mom) looking a babyt-shirt..
is it a meeting point?..maybe during the weekend?
if itsn't a meeting point ...what is it?

ok, but is it a meeting point to startor end trips or bikers meeting point during the week or is it just a "cool place" ...
i mean: if i go there saturnday or sunday do i find bikers..or turists?
..you go there (you:aucklander) just to see some clothes (as the mom!) and the building of a motorbike..or is a place for biker and ..maybe... chickens!

They have website: www.deus.com.au

It's a custom bike shop that also caters to non-motorcyclists. You would have noticed that its more like an art gallery than a showroom, all the clothing is related to their line of bikes or marques that they sell. The good food and coffee is just a bonus.

It's just a business that sells motorcycles. It isn't set up specifically as a meeting place and being in the city that doesn't really make it ideal - it's much easier to meet North or South of the city at a gas station where there is more room and is closer to the roads you want to ride. However I guess it is a nice place to take your bike and meet up with mates for a coffee for those who don't really like the open road :dodge: though I must admit that while I had an MH900e in my possession it seemed like the perfect alternative to meeting up at Mission Bay.

I have been there a few times - too many kids - bad service - took 50 minutes to get my coffee. The kids love to look at the bikes though. The price of the clothing is pretty shocking.
Cool idea but seems to be a place for posing really, and for people with kids.

Good place to go if your into vintage motorcycles and seeing bikes being built. Can get busy which is good for a business, Good luck to them, ignore the mostly ignorant appliance riding KB knockers and enjoy some classic bikes and a coffee.

Yip, might as well go to the Puhoi, same but different in that, bikes everywhere (weekends best) service is great, no room for posers (unless they are from the BOP) and to the OP, the food is magnifico'....

Yep - what she said.

I was their biggest fan when they only had the camperdown store.

Now they are just a commercial whitewash.........which was to be expected by the founder of MAMBO.

Now this guy needs a tv series / cafe / brand....

I'd rather go there and look at cool old bikes than ride up and down the motorway in a convoy.... :innocent:
Its one mans dream, why knock it.If you don't like it go elsewhere...instead of whinging in the typical KB manner.

Who in thier right mind would enjoy riding up and down the motorway in convoy?
That seems a rediculous notion.

''Not my thing, but nice bike anyway.....''

Why do people bother saying things like that? If you don't like XXX style of motorcycle why bother to comment on them.Oh,that's right,it's the internet.

Heh! Went to Puhoi when I moved up to D'auckland....left ASAP due to the smell over clean bandanas and branded gear on the snobby 'bikers'!

We might be posuers down this way but at least we smell bad :woohoo:

My trips to Auckland are few and rather rushed...if I ever manage to do everything and have some time free I'll certainly go for a look.
