Hey fellas,
Thinking about buying a street magic for racing. Just wondering if these are good for racing as buckets?
What can you guys tell me about this?
Cheers.

Used to be a lot of them at Mt Welly from what I've heard. Haven't seen any for ages.
Would be eligible for F5 but no idea of how competitive it would be.

I borrowed one for a bit while I was to injured to use a clutch (Bus idea lasted one trip, fuck that!).
Should be all good to run in F5 as a starter bike, worth nyloning to give it a go.
The one I rode felt like it had some kind of limiter, you may want to look into that.

i test rode one that had been done up quite alot, 70cc + the expensive tuned pipe scootling used to sell, gears variator etc. It was decently quick, but didnt get there in a huge hurry, topped out at bout 80ks and the tiny wheels and narrow steering angles made it feel very very unsafe, and that was with reasonably sensible road riding. Though its very low so will let you get your knee down easily :) If its really cheap could be a fun lil auto bucket, but i cant see it being competitive with a 4/5 speed with (sometimes)proper wheels and tyres and suspension, that can do over round 100kmh. Depends what is racing in f5 at your track.

I started Buckets on Street Magics, I had two at one point. They are cool but not very fast, dont handle very well but look cool, are cheapish for tyres due to the fact its hard to get race compounds and look cool, the best options being Conti Twist or Michelin Pilot Sport looking things (i have some ready to fit to a TR110 Street Magic). The weak link is the plastic gear on the oil pump, check it replace or run premix, that'l look cool..... NICE
