V Twin Raver

My new beast & what a beast it is................especially in the wet which was my 3 hour plus introduction to her. All I have to do now is learn to ride it.........what a mission this turns out to be. Some track days are in the pipeline for me I think.

A special thanks to Firefight who on Saturday was most patient with me on my 1st trip through SH22 on it in what has to be described as crappy conditions. Dave, your hospitable approach on Saturday was yet another reminder of why I missed being away from the bike thing for a couple of months. I am really looking forward to getting out there again with all you guys & gals.

Thanks, yes I must come up with something new - although just because I have this bike, does not mean I have lost my passion for that V-Twin melody.

I know what you mean. I thought I preferred the V4 sound, but every time I hear a V-twin go past, I get this sort of longing feeling.
Even though the VFR's a much better bike, I miss my V-twin

So that'swho you are. Was wondering since no one told me a online handle for you on saturday.

Very nice bike indeed. Have to say though it being in a garage with two Yamahas and two Kawasakis it certainly didn't try and hide in the corner.

Dave, you have a bloody good memory - I forgot about that particular false nuetral but the one you witnessed was not the last one I had experienced on that bike??!!

Go Honda!!! WTG Mal, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

See you out on the road sometime soon. :Punk:

Yeah I will be out there again in a couple of weeks - am away overseas for work as of Saturday so maybe the weekend after. Also; I have to come up with a way to legally rid myself of that hideous slab of plastic for the rear No. Plate to secure to. Its not like the VTR where the tail lamp assembly retained the No. Plate lamp - these have a seperate lamp as part of the slab of plastic. I have seen one where it was completely chopped and the no. plate was secured to the rear hugger - looked okay but it was illegal (amazing what you can get away with on WOF when you work IN the bike shop!!). Anyway, I am still considering my options.

check out the litre crews 1000rr for inspiration on where to put your plate, one red one is right up in front of the rear wheel, not hard to wire a white LED to shine on it
