Anyone know where I can buy a pair of the above locally? (I haven't tried Repco or the likes)
They are the step above the power (+80%) if that means anything (probable marketing hype - but anyway). They are definitely a step above in price (of course!)
I found this bunch who deliver "free" worldwide (and at 33 pounds for a pair of H4 bulbs - so they should:

Or should I just go for the xtreme powers....

Ok - maybe the +80s would be good enough. Want to increase visibility commuting but also night riding. the 80s are quite a bit cheaper (big hair, shoulder pads and all that) - $49 on tardme - or 22 pounds from that link above with free freight

I haven't used that exact bulb, but I've used standard H4, Hella +50% and Hella +90%. As the rating increases, your bulb life decreases, that much I can guarantee, probably not at a proportional rate either.
Try Autostop and BNT for either the Hella or Philips? The uprated bulbs certainly aren't cheap.
Pity you're not in Auckland, I've got a spare +90 (new bike doesn't use H4), and I was buying the +90's at just under $20 a bulb.

Thanks guys.
Thanks for the offer Gremlin but I need 2 bulbs.
Yes - I read about decreased bulb life with the + rated bulbs - newton's law and all that I suppose.
Philips claim the vision +100 have an increased bulb life (not sure what compared to - maybe the +80s?) Hell - it's just a bulb. I'll try BNT / Autostop / Repco and get me a couple.
I'll be a geek - replace one then take a photo (with an ingenious cardboard divider between the headlamps) to see how effective they really are
