We'll be there (at Manfeild that is), but we'll be in the car. We may even go up to Palmerston after work on Friday and stay the night.
Weather don't look that flash for Saturday in the Manawatu....let's hope they're wrong!

Not more bloody tyre changes! I did about 5 sets (for two bikes) the last round and i was completely buggered at the end of it.
Besides, i don't think we have any wet fronts left

Can you guys who are watching the race please bring video cameras? I should have an onboard camera on my bike if it's not too wet so I want to put it all together to make a wicked video!
Cheers!

Just put the wets on the bike - lets see if I can out psych the weather. If I plan for wet, what's the odds it'll be dry??

I cant read that weather thingy. All I can read is the metservice and weather channel and they say it is going to be shit but allright. Overcast afternoon showers see wat i mean
Big blue splodge over the north island means rain more than likely. (forcast for Sat Midday)

Just got back from Manfield. I didn't want to pay $80 to trundle round in the wet so took the car over. Was pretty bleak to begin with (got there around 11am) and the organisers didn't want the bikes to ride the track in the reverse direction becuase of the track not being licensed for it due to reclassification or something.
This was sorted and the last two sessions of bikes were anticlockwise and a dry line was starting to appear. Met Kwaka_kid and a couple of other KBers.
Weather forecast in local paper say its gonna be dry tommorrow until later in the evening. Lets hope they get it right this time. Seems the frontal system is moving slower than expected as today was meant to be fine.
Regards to those racing tommorrow hope you have a good day.

Well it pretty much drizzled all day with the track staying wet. When will I ever learn not to pay any attention to a forecast that must be invented and not based on any factual information.
Met Mark_nz at the track. I think he was the only one that rode up from Wellington.
A few spills from the wetness but no injuries to any riders that I am aware of.
This is what happens when the front wheel lets go under braking at the end of the front straight.

Good to meet you Garry and all the other KBers.
Very wet and cold day at the track, and I'm hoping I thaw out some before I get to town to have a couple of farewell beers with that skinny goatied fella tonight.
All but one KBers seemed to have a pretty ratshit day of it. MR lost the Gixxer on what I have now christened "MR's Crash Corner" in the esses, John Boy seemed to lose the Kwaka under brakes going into turn one (see garry's pic) and was very lucky not to get runover by the two guys he was having a really good dice with. After claiming pole position on the SS Sparky Bills had a horror day, chucking a chain on lap 1 of race 1 while in the lead, and then having what sounded like electrical or fuel problems in race two while looking strong. And then Nick O may have blown an engine too.
So who is left? Two Smoker. Those results on that bike with shite tyres in those conditions leaves me with one word....
Respect.

I ended up not winning but I was in the middle of the streetstock field. Far wets make the track feel like it is dry other than sliding over the white lines. How do you have the avatar thingy magigy
