Hi all.
Signed up to the forums to get some info on buying a bike and gears and it's all been pretty helpful so far.
Last week I got all my gear except for boots so am on the hunt for some good size 50 boots if anyone knows where to get them. I've been to lifestyle imports but they looked cheap and nasty and I want to buy right and buy once.
Got Cycletreads ordering in some Sidi Way boots that I'll try in the weekend.
Im still undecided on what bike to get because I don't really know what suits a big guy like me and can't got test riding until I get gears.
CB900's have been looking the business for me and you can get a good 07 one for about 7 grand which sounds on the money.
Oh yea and so you can help me I'll give you my stats too, im 6'8" 130kilo. haven't done much/any road riding before but got my full because I did it all at the same time as my car. Looking for a bike with a fair bit of power because im gravitationally gifted and also it present a large profile to the wind at 100km.
My old man owns a suzuki 1400, not sure of the model but its a naked thing and im going to ride that for a few weeks before I start up my credit history and buy my own bike. I like the look of his bike but im pretty sure it will try kill me; just like it did him; so don't want to get too familiar with it.
Been a Honda man most of my life but im also part car dealer so live a bargain.
anyway let me know your thoughts on what might suit me
