Hi all,
I am making a short-film for the New Zealand International Film Festival this year.
The film is going to be one long motoX stunt ride -mainly a long long long mono/wheelie, but with a whole bunch of riders simultaneously up on one wheel for as long as possible :).

Who are some good peeps for this -basically needing to find riders who can hold a long mono, on sand (would likely be either Muriwai or Ahipara), stay in good control so that other riders can bust a mono quite close to them - control is quite key, but there is some room for discussions about the exact nature of the stunt to be influenced by rider ideas too.

I'd be stoked to use this thread to find people who might be up for it, and chuck around some ideas on the stunt.
-Key point about the film is that whatever we invent for the stunt, the film is only ONE LONG TAKE, no cuts!
-Will be a one-day shoot

Other motorcycle art-works and films I've done are all over the internet :)

Can't wheelie for shit... so count me out.

Just out of interest, how will you get around the fact that dirt bikes are definitely not welcome on either of those beaches?

That would be fantastic, an ideal situation is a group of riders who usualy *work together:woohoo: ride together well - I'll be in touch on Monday by email...

This is a very good point, especially as I ride adventure bikes on these beaches and am really over people complaining about bikes on beaches.

Seek permission first, eh?

The location is still open, but on the whole normally there is a permissions process & also stuff like below high tide line... north of Rimmers Rd etc... or similar with traffic management... this isn't a dune related stunt etc.

Cool, just as long as it's been looked after properly, as at Muriwai at least, the cops are usually onto any unregistered bikes pretty damn quick these days...
