Looking for rental home in Porirua

Couple moving from the states, 2 dogs, both working, excellent ref. Her brother races sidecars in the states, and he has asked me to put the word out. she is a nurse (married, so hold your thoughts boyz:innocent:)... and they are coming over in April with furniture etc arriving later. Keen to learn about bikes, and meet people ... early 30's.

Please as ya all have done before show them how great kiwi's are!~!!!

I agree, but we need to educate... dogs are a pain for most landlords, but these are good dogs... so cheap rent maybe required to prove themselves as great tenants. (home owners in the states).

From Lake Tahoe to Porirua?

Sigh, here we go. Porirua's reputation is like 30+ years out of date. I've lived in Waitangirua, Cannons creek, (both supposedly the most bad arsed suburbs in Porirua) but mostly in Ranui Heights.(12 years) I have no hesitation in walking around any of those areas at night, and I'm white lol. Porirua has really cleaned it's act up. I recommend Ranui Heights, it's a good neighbor hood, where residents take pride in their properties. (like the majority of Porirua these days). :yes:

Work!!! And you know what... you lot might diss the place, but who knows I know a lot of awesome people that live in poorer/run down maybe neighbourhoods, that don't get hassled, and live there cause thats all they can afford. Its not the area ... its the people that make it... and not all can be bad. Buzzard I presume you have lived in Porirua... I haven't so can't really comment mind you.

Well I have lived in Wgtn all my life and have a good idea what Porirua and its residents are like. I have never lived there, but my sister lives there now and thinks its a shithole, but it's all she can afford. I just think your Yank mates might be better off in a different part of Wellington, not saying the poshest part, but certainly not the worst. How about Papakowhai or Mana? Close to Porirua and certainly a lot nicer/safer.
