A few firsts today.
For the FIRST time ever my 18 yr old daughter was allowed to pillion on her boyfriends bike.
She has done so on my bikes but never anyone elses.
He rode well and looked after her at all times.
She rode on a Charity ride, for Aria.Another first for her.
On completion of the Charity ride and after we'd all had a smashing lunch and a couple of quieties at the Bay View Hotel in Kaiaua, she elected to ride on the back with her boyfriends mum.
Princess bandit from KB who;s bike had a top box and made for a more comfortable ride, poor ol Bf.
We all rode home form Kaiaua with no problems , the whole days riding had been relatively incident free.
We got to Claude rd in Manurewa heading up towards Hill rd from Alfriston rd when we were all passed in the dip on the wrong side of the road(completely the wrong side) by a white woman and her female friend in the front seat and two kids loose(yes totally unrestrained 2-3yr olds) in the back.
This person tried to barge through PB to get back onto her side of the road before the traffic island.
I gotta say, PB did exactly what I would have done, she moved across and out of the way, thereby taking her and my daughter out of harms way,(many thanks PB) but she also indicated her total disbelief and anger by raising her middle finger to the driver and her front seat passenger.
Both of whom appeared totally unconcerned that they had come within a nats cock of taking out three bikes and four other human beings.
I turned left and followed this person while the others headed the last K to our place.
I quickly backed off as I watched them continue to drive so badly that they nearly caused at least three more accidents. I wanted badly for them to be real Big tough guys, but they werent.
I wanted that car to have to come to a stop but it didn't.They literally crashed two stop signs and forced other cars off the road all the time waving to pedestrians and laughing thier heads off.
I was not chasing them nor anywhere near them by this time, for the record.
I turned off and went home.
I'd like to thank Princess bandit here on KB for doing the absolute right thing in first and foremost taking herself (and my baby girl) out of harms way.
It was a very nasty thing to have happen and PB read it perfectly and made sure that at least she and us were not going to be involved in an accident.
I rang *555 a little while ago and gave them the details.
I really think that we as a group need to do this more often and take the names of those recording what you tell them, so we can follow up.
The number plate didn't match by the way, no I got it right, so this lot are either driving a stolen car or know they're up to no good and are using other peoples plates.
I hope this thread reminds US out there in KB land that no amount of being right is of any use to us as bikers if we get taken out by other motorists.
The last first for today.
I wasn't on my bike, my wifes bike is a little ol 400 and that mean't I could just wind the throttle on and Kick their fucking door in!
I'm sure these sleaze bags are local so if you live out this way.Manurewa,Hill rd area be advised they really don't care, get away from them as fast as you can and live to ride another day.

yeah, and she goes out with my son... protective mother here ;)

I could see the car coming up pretty fast and read the situation as being predictably unpredictable. Therefore I slowed to allow her to barge her way through (while flipping the bird vigourously). Even then I still managed to hear Mark yell out as he went past me having decided to follow the dumb bimbo. What was more unbelievable was that having passed us all in that manner (with me as the lead bike) she wasn't even turning right at the T intersection but pulled left across my bow to turn left down Hill Rd!

Carjam reckons it's a white mazda bounty - probably somebody's work vehicle and they 'borrowed' the plate for the weekend...

It's a good idea to carry some old spark plugs within easy reach for this exact reason. Or you could just pack a piece.
