Hubby is going to the Pukemanu Adv ride next month and will use his DRZ400.
Does anyone have suggestions for road legal tyres?
Cheap is good, as we still have to wof and rego it, and the tyres will be pretty much coming straight back off as he's back to trail riding two weeks later.
Cheers

Hit up your local bike shop and see what they have/can get.
I've got new Vee Rubber nobbly fronts from my local for about $90 before, they were tough enough to withstand the weight and push of an airhead bmw, dunno what the rears are like.
Otherwise check out their old tyre pile, there might be a tyre or 2 thats been removed from a customer bike but has a days worth of riding on it.
and of course there's trade me.

I agree, see what the local bike shop has, rummage around, find out your tyre size first then go looking. It is amazing what people throw out just because the knobs get a little low. I got a set of tyres for the KTM free, six day enduro tyres.....Right time and right place I guess...:) Good luck!
Get them to put the tyres on and then they are more willing to let you have them for nuttin' :)

This is a good price for these! I paid $140 for a rear for my DRZ400..I have had an AC10 on the front for a while now when riding on the road and it was sweet..I did have a K760 on the back which is cheaper but I like my new AC10 rear alot better..which I use for trail riding mainly + a bit of road...
