The other day I had a fuel cupling on the Daytona snapped off  then the second one snapped  so off I went too order some and the cuplings were in stock and so was the rubber seal I needed,
So far its costing me
cuplings x2 $45 ea
rubber seal $85
o-rings x2 $10.50 ea
since I have the tank apart and the fuel filter is internal I may as well replace it,and rather than getting the triumph Fuel filter @ $142 I got a BMW Fuel filter @ $70 and they are the same FFS
So if anyone is doing their fuel filter on the Daytona 955i or similar have alook at the BMW Fuel filter............ Part # 16 14 2 325 859

Pathetic eh. I fail to understand how this happens in NZ.
I've been ordering FACTORY HONDA parts and sundry service bits from the USA for my Honda - some of the shit in NZ is 6 x the price. The same little genuine Honda parts.

I found the same thing when I did the fork seals on the daytona,it was alot cheaper to get the honda CBR900 fork seals as both bikes use the same forks

Note it is for USA models only so if your ride did not land there it will not be listed.
Most of the popular bikes will be listed - be aware that headlights will probably not be legal in NZ due to the offset. But some models are the same and rely on adjusters to do the angle.

Yea don't shop at AMPS if you can help it. I find all my filters are available from Repco. Much cheaper.

Right, just purchased the identical Mahle KL145 on Trademe for $29. He can do more (only 1 left at the moment), or can also do an aftermarket filter for about $10.
Get in touch.:msn-wink:

There could be a book written with the subject of shared parts across models and brands or is that what parts suppliers sorta do now?

I wouldnt though do that with oil filters, thats too risky. A number of aftermarket oil filters only have 60% of the paper area of genuine.
