Coming home tonight By The Light Of The Silvery Moon,I passed through a small patch of rain, then looked west and saw a full moonbow - just like a rainbow, but silver from moonlight.I've never seen one before....there's always something new around the corner, life is full of little suprises....

Treasure that memory. I've only ever seen two. I'd love to see another before I die.
In the country on a clear night they can be surpassingly beautiful.
Its that sort of thing that makes me like riding at night. You see more of beauty and experience more of humility.

if on the same night you had gone out into a paddock that was covered in dew you would see the same effect but it will only appear when the moon is directly behind you. So if you look at your shadow in the grass youll see a moon halo around your head :D

Sounds cool. Never seen one myself, but I have seen a 'green flash'. No this has nothing to do with tree huggers in trench coats, it's where the sun turns bright green just as it slips below the horizon- supposed to mean an extended period of good luck if you're the supersticious sort.

Similar effect to that described by BadL when you're up in the snow on a clear night with a full moon.
Yeah, I've seen one before...
Although................

So do you find a crock of Selenium at the end of a moonbow?
(This one is so obscure.I'm interested to see who gets the connection)

Selenium. From the Greek Selen the Moon Godess. And presumably in charge of moonbows. But by extrapolation from the traditional gold at the end of a sunbow, one would expect a crock of silver.

I'd love to see one of those. I've seen the northern lights (not the shit you smoke), or the aurora borealis by its scientific name. Beautiful. It touches your soul.
