Hi guys,

Just arrived in town. jumped on the bike to go to work this morning. Strong petrol smell. Fired up no probs. Started moving. Noticed liquid coming out of the left rear corner (lower) of the tank. smelled it. Its PETROL. Checked the tank. Its leaked half a tank. Cant see where its coming from.

Any one have a fault like this and or know someone trustworthy who may agree to take a look for "not too much"?

Much appreciated.

I had one of those a while back and had to replace the tank.

Sorry probably not what you were looking for, but leaking petrol is bad on a few levels and if it's the seam of the tank (probably) then it's quite hard to fix.

It'll be a pinhole from water sitting and corroding that corner. If you start to try and dig it out it'll just turn into a mission.

POR-15 (http://www.por15.co.nz/POR15Prod/motorcyclekit.htm). Do it.

If its a pin hole its easy too fix get a Por15 bike kit

I just did a bike tank last month and it does work but you do need to follow the instructions ,it takes about 5 days too seal the tank properly

Also cheak the rubber seals where the fuel tap attache's to the tank
