Bead breaker measurements

Hi

Im looking for the measurements or possibly drawings of the pivot point locations of this type of bead breaker. They are not available over this side of the world anywhere so going to have to make up my own.

but my question is why , bead breakers here are around the 10 000 yen mark all done and dusted

I made one, nowhere as flash looking as that one, but works a treat. I can break bike tyres and smaller car tyres with it no problems. All I did was mount an upright (actually a old solid roller door support bracket) on the end of a piece of 6x2 timber about 4 ft long. On the top of the upright I connected a piece of reasonably heavy box section with one bolt so it would pivot. About 6 inches up the box section I welded a tongue made of approx 2" x 5/16" flat steel.
To break a bead I just lay the wheel on the 6x2 with the bead directly under the tongue and push down on the box section bar and the bead is broken, flip the wheel over and do the other side and all done.
This was designed and made years ago, with scrap I had laying around, for one job. But years later I am still using it on a fairly regular basis.

I have one I made, which was a copy of one of those. Works well on bike tyres. Do you want a tracing of it?

erm, so not avail on this side of the world?! & then you post a picture from F1 engineering which is just south of Auckers. Steve isn't cheap, but it will be very well made.
