A crowd of around two hundred angry Italians angry at an attempt to arrest two men for stealing a motorbike threw stones, bottles and food at police in Naples, injuring 12 officers.

The brawl was the latest in a string of attacks against authorities in the southern Italian city.

Down town Naples can be a tough place ! , Didn't feel very safe when visited . The mob rules . Italy's version of the "Bronks". They were also talking about banning scotters from the city squares to reduce handbag snatching. (Same in Rome)

Naples is a very dodgy place. Every single person I know that's been there has either been mugged, attacked or was with someone that was. Such a shame as it's a beautiful place. Unfortunatley some of the local scum purposely target tourists, and the police.

My friend had his jacket knicked by some prats on a scooter that shot past and grabbed it off him. Wkers. Unfortunately his jacket had his wallet in it.

Decided not to stay in Naples. Ended up staying in a Pompei Hotel surrounded with Razor wire and an Electric fence , Seemed to work , it kept both the crims and the wild dogs out , quite nice inside and didn't need to go out for food. :eek5:
