I've put about 35,000 ks on my Gladius (SFV) 650 so far and thinking about the future wear and tear. I do alot of riding. It's my only vehicle and use it for everything so, I am thinking a few hundred k's down the track here.
The chains in pretty good nick so far. Regularly maintained, but at some point I know it will have to be replaced.
Could some of you more knowledgable folks out there recommend any superior chains than the current stock one I have? Also, when replacing the chain should I also replace the sproket/s too? or, if the sprocket is still looking ok just leave it.
ok.... thats all. Thanks guys

Look at the tensile strength of the chain. The D.I.D I brought not long ago was around 10,000 lbs, more than strong enough for a 180hp bike.
My brand of choice is D.I.D, and I'm not a fan of RK... my twins use to eat them
Dont skimp on chains, last thing you want is a hole through your case... and replace your sprockets

+1. The original chain on my ZX14 is a top of the line DID, it's done 45,000k and is still mint!

My sem fiddy came with an RK chain as stock. Even with regular care, it ended up with tight spots. D.I.D is my first choice, too... and what I fitted to my bike.

Every manufacturer has several grades of chain to suit budget. So I'd vote DID X ring & some decent steel sprockets. JT are fine & readily available.
