Had a bit of a lie down north of Oamaru. Currently in Oamaru itself, and have now found out Swann Roadside doesn't cover accidents, just breakdown. AA the same.

Need to get bike, store, while sorting to repair/write off, transport to Auckland etc.

Flick me a txt, 021 953 943

It looks like he may be able to beat it back into shape enough to ride it back home

Thanks for the offers of help guys. After collecting, applying quantities of tape, zip ties and tie downs (secret combination in the mix of course) I'll ride back to Auckland next week. BMW panniers appear quite strong, aka resisting most attempts to bend back to shape.

what damage has been done to it?
if youve smashed any of the pastics up theres a guy in dunein hayd3n who is a plastic welder and does an awesome job for a few cans of woody.

STORY! STORY! STORY!
There's always one huh? BMW tried to be a tractor and try its hand at high speed farming. Real tractors have more stability, so we didn't fare too well.

I don't think Tourances would have solved this problem :bleh: The Pirellis were great, tyre life I think is shocking. Its squaring off after about 4000km. Scrubbed edge to edge, a lot of weight, but it may even last less than the Sync, and being dual compound, thats saying something :weep: I guess now I have time to figure out which tyre I like...

You can have that crown. I think you've bought the lifetime ownership rights

Being an adventure bike, there are no delicate plastics, so I'm sweet there. For a quarter of a ton, it seems to crash well. Damage appears to be front brake lever (ripped off in perch, so after speaking to Motomart, $945 for replacement - no stock), pannier racks and rear frame for top box mounting, panniers, front subframe for clocks and screen, handguards, tail light, 1 indicator.

Sorry, haven't replied yet (been altering accommodation, ferry booking etc etc). All sweet I think, for now.
