WELL, THAT was a waste of an afternoon. Charge around like an idiot to finish all my jobs then wait and wait And wait:sleep: and THEN 4 races.
Not only that but I have to listen to the worlds WORST commentator the f%#@#wit Phil bloody Dark.
Not to mention the attrocious camera work.
Def won't be watching anymore.

Rant over.
With coverage like that, is there any wonder nobody is interested outside of the biking community.

It was much better than the usual, ie nothing at all like the first two rounds.

Would be nice if those guys got some stuff right though.

Means I have to download the superbikes though ...

Don't be an idiot, Tony Palmer is/was the worst motorsport commentator ever!

Gee it wasn't that bad. Not motogp but lets be honest, the racing isn't that close so there is only so much frills you can put on it. Still good coverage though.

I didn't think it was too bad, Phil does get alot wrong but has anyone else offered to do better.

At least we got some racing on telly, better that than yet another game of rugby:niceone:

Phil Dark went to Timaru, not for TV but to commentate on his own weekend off.
For a man who does sport for a living and can go to any sport he wants to that's pretty good I reckon so he'd followed the series out of his own interest, not just for work.
Try commentating one day you only have one set of eyes maybe another couple of spotters with your whereas every one out there knows shit about a little piece of the action and are quick to point out when the commentator doesn't get it perfect.
Then again, you're from Yorkshire, isn't that the same place Gordon Ramsey is from? or do you just have the same attitude?????

I enjoyed it, did notice they seemed to use low def cameras, but good to see local racing on T.V. As for commentators, they're paid to make it sound exciting not to be accurate.

Couldnt agree more,Phil Dark is a motorsport enthusiast that gave his time and expertise free of charge and did the best he could with the information afforded him,As Spyda has pointed out,Its not the easiest job and how many of the Joe public viewers would have picked up on any mistakes he made.

Atleast its getting the local racers out in the public eye and gives them something for them to take to a prospective sponsor.

Still,Can't please everybody aye

Sure the poor buggers trying to put the program together probably had no budget and gave up their free time.

I approve of this broadcast :niceone:

I must have been watching a different program ?
I didn't think the camera work was atrocious - but I'm not a film critic
I swear I saw Stroudy swapping places in both races and plenty of action down the field
Pretty sure Dennis Charlett won by only 0.259 in the second 600 race and thought he said it was a tough race during the post race interview ?
I thought I heard mention of lap records being broken ?

Some on board footage to give non-racers a bit of an idea of the speed and lean angles, some great (and some scary) passes.

Bit of drama when Stroudy looked to have it sewn up only to run out of gas and just make it home (and the commentators picked that up)

I enjoyed it even though I already knew the results.

If I'd paid 100 Euro's to watch the series (which is what MotoGP costs) I might be picking holes in it (but probably not)

No I was watching the same one, just as I watched it live at the track. When I say close there were only a handful of passes and the fields were fairly well spread out. Some good racing still though. Not making any criticisms, I think the coverage was great.
