John Ross, you blardy legend!

Considering the events of the past week John Ross' efforts/results at the WSB round of the ASBK over the weekend were HUGE! All the reports are well worth a read and leave me in awe of a superhuman effort by John and the team.

he was riding awesome over there....over took the kawasaki round the outside before siberia on the second to last lap to take 3rd place for that race....was neat chatting with them on friday evening when they popped over for dinner to the kiwi rider trip house...cheers

Had a call with John the other day after the Philip Island round.
Quite intersting on his take on it. They only just got the bike together on the track for 1st practice (after the crash as Ruapuna he had taken exhaust etc off bike and they were in repair shop obviously then the earthquake hit so things were hard to get at), he was on cold tyres as this is how close they were cutting it.
As far as the track goes, he had a massive learning curve as it is a very technical track, he mentioned that he never hit an apex correctly all weekend! also interesting to note, the so called hairpin is more like the nannas corner at runapuna than the hairpins we think of, he thought it was massive!

Anyways, on the other note, john's flat he was living in apparently has a wall missing, he owns a couple of rental houses which he has no idea about. he is obviously under tremdous pressure both on and off the track, and also considering that his job is a landscaper in chch, obviously there is a prospect of coming home to no work for the next year while things are sorted out.

Considering all this, how outstanding are his results! go boy go!

Thanks for the inside goss, just makes his effort even more amazing. Looking forward to seeing how he goes at Symmons Plains. From the looks of the weather today that cardigan BMW supply with every bike will have come in handy....
