A warm welcome to Greg Power finally joined KB
A Good mate of mine, and a guy who has worked hard to get people on bikes
both off road and adventure rides.
I had ,up untill not so long ago worked for Greg for the last few years helping with the Woodhill Bike park, I have also been on many of Gregs trail rides.
I know some of you not so young KBers will know Greg and be happy to see him here.

Yes after Emailing him ( and receiving a very prompt reply ) The NZ motorcyle fed , emailed me with their web site concerning the ISDE ...then they put a web site up
I suspect this was all due to Mr Powers pressure he put on them ...
The web site STILL doesnt contain any real info ,,,, but its a start in the right direction
Kind Regard

Hi Greg, welcome to KB.
You won't remember me, but I remember you. I was very involved in the Vic Club back in the halcyon days of bikes, when you were based down here in Wgtn.

Welcome Greg from one who has been riding a few decades, particularly remembering you riding trials on the 4 stroke Hondas when that was a bit novel. Now if only we could get you to post some comment!

This is all new to me this chatting etc. I am a real newbie when it comes to interactive stuff on websites. My website is used to disseminate information - you can have a look if you like www.poweradventures.co.nz . I obviously don't know any of you with all those funny names etc. Maybe I am the odd one out using my real name.
I am no legend - I am an enthusiast who just happened to ride quite well but got noticed because I spoke out against unfairness, lazy officials and untruths. I have made myself unpopular at times with officialdom but believe in motorcycling. It seems most of you have the same passion as I or is that I have the same passion as you. here is a bit about myself if you are interested. IF not, sorry to bore you.
I used to ride Trials quite well in the 70's then changed to Enduro in the 80's then in the 90's I rode endurance races in Australia and NZ with the australian Safari my favourite. Was on the board of Motorcycling NZ for five years then ran the Honda Off Road Race team for five years. Currently run power adventures which is a very small business with a motorcycle park and run trailrides, race events, adventure rides and coaching plus our Family Day trailrides. keeps me pretty busy for sure. My Son Christopher is a top racer competing in Moto X on his CRF450 and Enduro on his CR125. He also races X Country - his successes include leading the NZ Enduro Champs, second in the 1005 GNCC outright, top ten placings in the National MX, lots of racing, Top result in the Australian 4 Day Enduro. Keeps me busy supporting him as well.
Will look forward to talking to you all and to all those who I know, have met or whatever, Hi.
Cheers
Greg

You also came back to trials for a short time mid 80s and helped revamp things....getting away from the old A and B class and going to 3 grades which made it easier for everyone.

Hi Greg
Nice to have a new face on here, especially someone with so much experience (who I can pick for knowledge, and cast aside once I'm done :D)
Don't let the site workings intimidate you, just take it slow and bit by bit it will make sense. Regarding the "false names" (nicknames) you're not the only one who has trouble. Imagine attending KB events and meeting people for the first time. We introduce ourselves by our nickname primarily, and now and then our real name too. That makes two names to remember, especially hard if you're someone who isn't good with names to start with! :weird:
Over time you learn who is who, and it's easier.
The forums here are the message boards, or the place where everyone starts threads (new topics) and reads other people's threads and replies to them. That is the main part of the site that people use.
There is also PM (private messaging). Basically click on someone's name and select Send Private Massage and it's self explanatory after that. Dave E (FireFight) offered to show you the ropes sometime, I'd highly recommend that, it will speed up the learning process imensely.
I look forward to reading about your experiences.
See ya

Yea I suppose I will get used to it - I will have to make sure I don't get completly hooked and spend all my waking hours in front of the screen
Fortunately, I took typing at school (back in the 60's when blokes didn't do that) and it has held me in good stead ever since - I can touch type and am quite fast so that is good and it means I don't have to learn the computer speak. Also it means I can write articles for magazines, my newsletter and other correspondence.
As for experiences and the like, there are literally thousands of them and getting me started is real boring. Nothing like a hasbeen on a remembrance trip!
Still if there are any bits and pieces I may be able to help with then don't hesitate to ask and I will do my best. I might not reply straight away as I am often away for several days or even weeks on business.
Cheers
