Today I was helping out at a welfare center in Aranui and was stoked to see all the support coming in from all across the country: from Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington etc.
On one of the memo they put in a bag of onions from Papakura said:

damm - for some reason this made me burst into tears. Here i am, sitting in the safety and comfort of my home miles and miles away. You guys and gals down there, going through an ordeal that most of us have absolutely no comprehension of, and you're all just wanting to reach out and help others. And actually doing something about it, something constructive.
Thank you so much

Top effort EJ, like the Salvation Army's catch phrase..
'We're all in this together'
Christchurch took one for the team and now is up to the team (the rest of us) to ensure Christchurch realise that we have thier back.

Well done you people. True grit +++
Today we worked on cleaning around The Sand Bar on the way to Sumner (ironic).
Once again, please let us know if theres anything we can do.
Today about 20 of us got divided into three groups.
One went to Aranui school supply place, other helped relocation and my group helped getting stuff out of a store at The Palms shopping center.
The Palms got hit pretty bad. The inside is a total mess, and rotten sushis flourished like stinch of hell.
This morning before the work, a kiwi dude came to us and told us about a Korean lady who needed some help. He told us that she didn't have any food, water, elec, phone etc. Couldn't get his name but thank you very much!
Today again we got divided into three groups.
1) Aranui School to help with the supplies coming in from all over the country.
2) & 3) silt removal.
